Privacy and personal data

At the Center for Food Security & Public Health at Iowa State University, USA we take your privacy very seriously. In order to provide access to this service, we must collect and store some personal information about you.

Minors

Children under 13 years of age are not permitted to access the services provided by ce2.cfsph.iastate.edu By agreeing to this privacy policy you are also agreeing that you are 13 years of age or older.

What is collected?

Basic profile information is collected from you when you create your account including your full name and email address. As you use the site, information about the things you do on the site will be recorded..

How is this information used?

This information is used to allow you access to the use the online courses at ce2.cfsph.iastate.edu. We keep a record of how you score on a quiz, if your have earned a certificate and other things associated with your activity. If you have earned a RACE CE certificate we may be asked to report that information to the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB). AAVSB is the organization that administers the RACE certification program and we are required to provide records of who has earned RACE credit if they request it. We also use anonymous statistical information about usage of the site to improve the site and services provided on this website.

How long is my data stored?

Your personal data is stored as long as you are enrolled in one or more online courses at ce2.cfsph.iastate.edu. We must keep records of RACE CE credit earned for 4 years. Data associated with  your account that is over 4.5 years old will be deleted.  This means that any certificates earned will no longer be accessible.

How do I withdraw my consent for the Center for Food Security & Public Health to store and process my personal data?

If you have previously consented to allow the Center for Food Security & Public Health to store and process your personal data in accordance with this privacy policy, and you wish to withdraw your consent, please send an email to the Center for Food Security & Public Health at cfsphce@iastate.edu. You will no longer be able to access the services provided at ce2.cfsph.iastate.edu if your consent is withdrawn. This means access to all certificates and course completion information will be permanently removed.

How do I request that my personal data be corrected or erased?

You may make corrections to your basic profile information by logging into ce2.cfsph.iastate.edu and editing your own profile. If you have questions, or would like any other data to be corrected or erased, please send an email to the Center for Food Security & Public Health at cfsphce@iastate.edu.

How do I request a record of all my personal data that has been collected?

You may request a record of all of the personal data relating to you that has been collected in accordance with this privacy policy. To do so, please send an email to the Center for Food Security & Public Health at cfsphce@iastate.edu. You must receive a reply from us.
